A Repository of Game Information One of the most practical applications (for a given value of "practical") of my own hosted site is to house my various gaming-related information using my own choice of tools.

You can find free-ish hosted forums, wikis, file sharing sites etc... but there's a lot more freedom in controlling all of those programs yourself, not to mention all the storage space I could ever want.
